Engagement sessions are one of my favorite things to photograph. I feel like it’s such a nice start to a relationship with my couples and a nice change from photographing a wedding. Flo and Dan reached out to me about their “whirlwind wedding weekend”- Flo’s awesome words, that will take place in September. I find most of my brides book me a year to a year and a half in advance, but when a bride reaches out with 3 months until their wedding, I always feel excited to hear their story. Some of my favorite brides were booking right before their wedding. It’s fun- I think sometimes when couples book things close to the wedding date, because it all happens so quick before you know it, it’s here- less time to stress!
They will be getting married at Lyne Acres up in the Catskills with their closest friends and family for a small, intimate wedding that will end with a bonfire and I can’t wait! When we started talking about an engagement session, they mentioned that they loved the outdoors, lakes and mountains and my first thought was Minnewaska!
On an early foggy morning that turned into a beautiful sunny afternoon, we adventured through the trails and views of the lake and magical forest that is Minnewaska and finished our session knee deep in the bottom of Awosting Falls. I can’t wait until their wedding! Here’s some- actually a bunch of my favorites.. I had a hard time choosing!
